1. What is Metricplans?  
Metricplans is a web tool designed to visualize strategic plans. Metricplans is a tool that aims to help strategic planners and decision makers to visualize, present and deliver plans in one page, the consumers of these deliverables could be the board of directors, owners, C-levels or even your own team. Metricplans will present them in three different ways, Line charts, Balanced Scorecards and a Corporate level overview.
2. What is a Plan?  
A plan is a document used to communicate the organizations goals, the actions needed to achieve those goals and all of the other critical elements developed during the planning exercise. In Metricplans a Plan is the parent entity which groups periods of time, indicators, charts, and all the objects related to the current and specific exercise. A Plan belongs to the subscriber (client) and only its users are allowed to see those. Could be activated/deactivated any time.
3. What is a Plan Period?  
A Plan Period refers to the periods of time in which the Plan is splitted, could be named as you prefer, i.e: Jun-2015, Q1, Q2, Christmas, Semester 1. Have in mind that the periods will be shown based on the order defined by the user and must be associated to a valid date.
4. How do I enter my KPIs?  
KPIs can be entered by three different ways: Use Metricplans to: 1. Write them directly to the KPI Details Grid. 2. Import a file with the specific structure that we provide. 3. Choose one of industry specific pre-defined. In all cases the KPIs can be modified accordingly to your needs.
5. What is an Aggregated Indicator?  
The values of the KPIs are summarized by periods of time (plan periods) and presented in a chart. The chart displays the value and target of an specific KPI to provide an easy way to perceive its trend. The information button displays the KPI summary sheet for a better understanding of what are you measuring.
6. What is a Balanced Scorecard?  
The Balanced Scorecard is world-wide recognized standard for strategic planning. Groups KPIs in 4 perspectives (Financial, Customer, Internal Processes and Organizational) describing graphically the level of accomplishment of a goal and cause and effect among the other KPIs. Metricplans communicates the performance of a specific plan clear and fast. A colored indicator shows if the KPI met its target (green), has to be improved (yellow), or went below the expectation (red).
7. What is the Overview?  
The overview measures the level of performance by perspective in terms of percentage and a color indicating if the perspective met their targets (green), has to be improved (yellow), or went below the expectation (red). Also shows an overall performance level (OPL), defined by the behavior of the plans in time.
8. What is OPL?  
OPL stands for Overall Performance Level. This indicator is an average of the percentages for each perspective. Intends to quantify the performance at plan level and the behavior of the plans in time.
9. How does privacy work?  
All Plans and KPIs are exclusively available for the users registered in an entity (client). None of this information is displayed, shown or sell to the public or other entities or individuals. More details are available in our Terms & Conditions page.
10. How do I add an user?  
Users can be added by the Admin of your account. There is a limit of users defined by the subscription type. Only one user can be assigned as an Admin.
